Just looking at the images of this Seaforth home feels like a mini escape. 

With its chic interiors and stunning new concrete pool, it’s perhaps no surprise that this belongs to a stylist, interior designer, and former fashion editor, Kristin Rawson. After years working in New York City in magazines, Kristin decided to turn her attention to the interiors world, and hasn’t looked back since!

The brief for this interiors project contained the words ‘bold’, ‘theatrical’ and ‘dramatic’. A dream brief, you could say! But interior designers Alicia McKimm and Kylie Dorotic of Golden responded carefully, keen to rise to the occasion, without going ‘over the top’.

Opting for a dark palette that fuses understated class with thoughtful flourishes, the Brighton Residence sets a rich and moody tone that winks with the promise of fun. Built as a home base for a family of perpetual hosts, this hospitable house is ripe for entertaining.

In late November, our hardworking (and well deserving!) Advertising and Sponsorship Manager, Chelsea Hall, was lucky enough to spend two dreamy nights at one of Tasmania’s newest luxurious accommodation offerings, The Retreat at Pumphouse Point. Designed by award-winning Tasmanian architecture firm JAWS Architects, The Retreat is a truly breathtaking space hidden in the bushland on the edge of Lake St Clair, that perfectly balances luxury and relaxation.

After a couple of sick kids thwarted a previously-scheduled trip to Tassie earlier in the year, Chels was first on the list for a weekend away! From farm-to-table dining, to outdoor baths amongst the trees, today she shares her highlights from The Retreat at Pumphouse Point.
