A Classic, Colourful Kids Room Transformation

We’re back with another One Room Wonders room transformation today, in partnership with Surround by Laminex!

We recently took up the challenge of transforming this sweet child’s bedroom, in a heritage home in regional Victoria.

For this room, we selected the Surround by Laminex Classic VJ 100 profile, which is a timeless wall panelling profile, with a class V-groove. These timber panels are an excellent option in kids spaces or high traffic areas, because they’re so robust – they stand up really well to bumps and scuffs.

The owners of this home were keen to bring some colour in their baby’s room, and also, to decorate in a way that would last well into the future. So, we selected a sage green to add some depth to the space, and reflect the surrounding landscape. To ensure consistency with the rest of the house, we kept the skirting boards, cornicing, window and door frames in their original warm white.
