We’re back with another gorgeous, achievable room transformation today in partnership with Surround by Laminex – and boy, this one is GOOD!
We recently took up the challenge of reimagining this simple art deco sitting room – adding an injection of colour and texture to the space. The results speak for themselves!
For this room, we selected Surround by Laminex Battan 25mm panelling, which is a slim, delicate profile with a contemporary edge. With its narrow panels and sharp, square grooves, this is a versatile profile that complements the heritage features of this room, whilst also lending a modern touch.
Whilst we love the art deco details in this room, the existing picture rail was very low on the wall, which made the space feel small. So, as you’ll see in the video, we removed the picture rail, taking the panelling right up to the ceiling, to enhance the ceiling height and make the walls feel tall again!
